Hems is currently undertaking research for a new novel tentatively entitled Catacombs. Based on a nightmare, Catacombs will tell the terrifying tale of a dystopian future where a cataclysmic event threatens a tremulous status quo.

The story follows Hackett, a fire fighter called to the scene of a gigantic explosion that kills hundreds but reveals a secret beneath the city of London. A terrible secret, which the dark men that follow him will do anything to hide.

As Hackett uncovers more and more unsettling truths, the world around him begins to crumble and he becomes the target of something much more ominous than the dark men.
